FOR SCHOOL PRINCIPALS
Music-In-Schools (MIS) is an enrichment program that brings group and individual music instruction to Chicagoland public and private schools. In business since 2003, we have provided piano, violin, cello, and guitar lessons to hundreds of students, contributing to their well-rounded education, and enhancing their school's profile and community life.
PROGRAM DETAILS
PROGRAM DETAILS
- Individual lessons (pull-out) and group classes (before/after school) in piano, violin, cello, and guitar. Both 1-on-1 lessons and string group classes are 30min. in length.
- Individual pull-out lessons are scheduled in consultation with each student's homeroom teacher.
- WE DON'T NEED A DEDICATED ROOM. We are used to using a quiet corner in the hallway for our individual lessons, without disturbing nearby regular classes. Group classes (violin and cello students forming your school orchestra) can use the auditorium, cafeteria, or any classroom, at your convenience, just before or just after regular school hours, for 30min.
- We provide a keyboard or digital piano, and music stand. Violin and cello students rent their own instruments.
- We will only need two (folding) chairs for our 1-on-1 lessons in the hallway and a power outlet. That's it!
- Parents pay our program directly. Tuition is below similar area offerings. There is a 10% sibling discount, included sheet music, and NO registration/materials/recital fees, making our program accessible, affordable, and convenient.
- Our staff is college-educated, experienced, and fully insured, with fingerprints, background check, and employment eligibility checked. Lessons are supervised every month or two by the MIS director.
- Parents/guardians sign up using our website during the August/September enrollment (students will take home program info that we provide to their homeroom teachers).
- Parents receive a monthly progress report in addition to advice on how to better support their children's learning process.
- There are two concerts annually: December (featuring seasonal selections), and End-of-Year (usually late May). Everyone is warmly invited (free admission).
- We fully adhere to your school policies, regulations, and calendar.
- We are FULLY INSURED (General Liability plus SAM Sexual Abuse and Molestation current coverage; proof on request).
